 Breeders Please Respond!

Hello everyone I am Joe, I have owned many different reptiles in the last five years. mainly snakes and monitors but now i want to try something a little diffrent. I was thinking about breeding Anoles. How is it? Is it difficult? Are they a good lizard to start out breeding? how big of a tank would i need? how many females to 1 male? what would i need? And what do i need to do in order to get fertile eggs? I have been researching for quite some time now, I went out and got a book on Green Anoles but i would like to hear it from you guys that have bred Anoles. If you would answer me back I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks guys!
-Joe

wellllll........im only 13 but i know quit a bit about anoles they are really enjoyable.
its not hard as long as you have all the stuff you need {which coats quit a bit of money.}
breeding iv had mine for almost a year now, but iv also been collecting them for a while,there
just now starting to breed but i think that’s cause they r now getting used to it.i have 6 anoles
in a 30 gal. tank there is plenty of room cause i put lots of plants, & branches in there so
theres plenty of room,u need lots of hiding places 4 them. i do which helps a lot in natural
behavior.you can have up to 10 females with 1 male. a basic would be dirt,moss,& a sprayer you have to keep it moist for the eggs. FACT:FEMALES CAN HOLD SPERM INSIDE THEM 4 8 MONTHS.not all
females can have fertile eggs.

Ten gallons of enclosure size per Anole is the minimum. Having 6 in a 30 gallon is way too many. It is best to have a ratio of 2 or 3 females per male. However, since they are highly territorial, only one male per enclosure. In the wild, males occupy (and defend) a territory with 2-6 females in it.

like i said before it depends on how they were incubated &hatched not all females will have fertile eggs
just like not all males will produce sperm. and if they have been mating the females can hold sperm for up to 8 months. so you might not get eggs 4 a while or not any. good luck!!!!!!!
