Question On My Anoles I have a 50 gallon tank, inside i have 3 Green Anoles and 2 Small Bahaman Anoles, i have been trying to distinguish between females and males but i cant, i have seen 3 of them use their dewlap often, i need help to see what i can do to distinguish sex and also i wanted to ask if i have to take some on the anoles to a separated cage or tank. They all hang out together but i think that prob they are all males lol. i bought them on pets mart and really dont know what to do when mating season comes... Please help

Question On My Anoles First off, you shouldn’t mix species in general. Even though the two you have occupy very similar niches it shouldn’t be done really. next, you need to seperate all the males as soon as possible. If you have three males, you will need three tanks. You can keep males with females however. Most likely if they are displaying their dewlap it means they are male, but the only true way is to check for a pair of postanal enlarged scales below the vent.
