Anole egg incubation All you need for an Anole incubator is a large deli dish with a top (a Cool Whip container will work). Punch some holes in the top for ventilation and fill it 3/4 full with Vermiculite (preferred) or organic potting soil. Keep the medium moist but not soggy wet. Make a slight depression with your thumb and place the egg in it taking care not to move it from its original position and cover it lightly with the medium that you used. Put the top on the container and keep it at 85 degrees using most any heat source that you wish (a regular light bulb is fine). Remember to keep the medium moist and the egg should hatch in about 35 days. The whole outfit will cost a couple of $$.
