Gay lizards? Not got a huge amount of experience, but frogs, rabbits, and lots of other animals exhibit "gay" behaviour-they may try to mate even though the other is also a male. I’ve seen fb toads do it, mantella frogs do it, and (oops, ny fault, we were kids and didn’t know both rabbits were male) rabbits do it too. I expect though, that if they are both male they could be fighting and they should be in separate tanks anyway. Male anoles shouldn’t be housed together.
Unless you want tons of baby anoles, the males will be fine alone in separate tanks. They tend to breed quite readily, so if you introduce a female be ready to house a crapload more lizards, eh...

Gay lizards? I recently seen this study on the news where scientist did something to a female rat which made her act like a male rat and vice versa with a male rat. When he made the male rat at like a female he rubbed the male rat on the back side and like a female rat would do the male rat kind of bowed down raised his hine legs in kind of a mating position it was crazy,

Gay lizards? Animals cannot be gay. It is in their insticts to be straight. They were put here on earth to be straight, breed with the opposite sex, and keep their species alive. That’s how the animal kingdom works. Yes, unneutered male cats and dogs get "happy" but they aren’t gay or bi or anything...just excited. I don’t know why some humans (not trying to offend anyone) are gay, but that’s how they are and there should be no "shutters" because of it. Its how they are. Deal with it. People don’t make fun of you because you aren’t gay, so why should you shutter to someone who is? I don’t understand persecution. It doesn’t make sense to me.
Anyway, animals cannot be gay. It is not how they were created, gay behavior is just being sexually excited. And separate your males. If they were indeed fighting instead of whatever, they need their own enclosures. Regardless. Keeping two males together, unless in an enclosure which has enough space for each male to have a set territory, is cruelty, and could result in death. The subordinate male will fight to become dominant, could be killed, or will be too intimidated by the dominant male to eat or drink. That will kill him. Separate your males, and forget about the gay behavior. It was nothing.

Gay lizards? I’m sure it was territorial, not mating. But some animals CAN be gay, though I’m not sure about smaller lesser animals like lizards and such, I’ve heard that any animal that’s aware of itself could become gay, for example gay dolphins, but I’ve also heard gayness is a chemical imbalance- I doubt your lizards were gay but I don’t think it’s impossible for animals to be gay, we’re animals too and plus- there is nothing wrong with homosexuality.

Gay lizards? Yes, animals can be gay, I did make a small misunderstanding when I made the statement that they can’t be. However, they still want to keep their species alive, it is what God put them on earth to do. But it is rare for an animal to breed for sexual desire rather than just simply ensuring that their species continues on. I do agree, I said that there was nothing wrong with homosexuality, but animals - meaning furry, scaly, whatever...not humans - can not be strictly gay. They still want to reproduce, but they may also breed for pleasure...though that is rare. Just to clarify what I meant.

Gay lizards? Subordinate male Anoles will sometimes act like females in interactions with a dominant male. They use such behavior as a ruse to get close enough to his "harem" of females to mate with one of them when his back is turned. Otherwise, they would have no chance at mating. That doesn’t mean they are gay -- just clever!

Are they for sale Animals can be "gay", I’ve seen it.There were these two male giraffes that tried to mate in Africa somewhere.I’m for sure if humans (mammals) can be gay then other mammals can be "gay",they’re part of the animal kingdom.I’m not for sure that amphibians or reptiles can be though.I’m positive that mammals can be "gay" though.

Are they for sale They aren’t gay... Technically, they shouldn’t be housed together if they are males, and just so you know, they were not mating in that picture, just simply resting. My lizards lie down and go to sleep on top of each other all the time, it’s normal. But you should get them seperated asap even if they don’t fight.

Gay lizards? Actually, first, I agree. You should not house them together.Second, YES they can be gay. It’s been scientifically proven that if you deprive a male of "the opposite sex" it will mate with the same sex.It was proven with finches and alligators. However, females will not mate with other females.I had my male lizards in the same cage with each other for 1 day since my smaller male’s tank broke and I had no females at the time. After about 5 minutes of head bobbing they actually began showing "Mating behavior" (not fighting) and mounted each other. This was Definitely not fighting since their tails were entwined and all.

Gay lizards? ok...just end this topic with the fact that anoles cant be gay. Anoles dont have any feelings for eachother whatsoever and simply arent complex enough to be what you would consider to be gay.
Quote: However, females will not mate with other females this is untrue actually. I know that several species of whiptails are entirely female. While it is not necessary for them to mate, some actually mount eachother and do the equivalent of it.
