| Just now it has a basking spot. Before that he had a heated rock and was hardly on it. |

| Mayday! Lol...dont use heat rocks with them, they could really burn themselves. Alotof people dont tell yout hat, they are too sensative...maybe it was trying to tell you that. I think a good basking area on one side of the tank and a cool, shaded area preferrably where the water supply is will help. Are you misting him? And what are your temps? Jill |

| I’m not an owner of a bahama anole but I have two green anoles. By any chance did you read the wrong caresheet? Bahama anoles can’t change from green to brown, just green anoles can do that. Your bahama anole should stay brown because that’s its only color but you should still watch the temperature of your terrarium though. Good luck with everything and I hope this helps. |

True! I have a brownie! They CANNOT turn green! hehehehe but one way to tell if their happy/healthy IS through his patterns. If his patters are vibrant, sharp, and bold hes a happy camper. A stressed brown anole will turn very ghostly pale, white-washed-faded pattrn His behaviors and attentiveness will tell you more about his health that his color. Color change means stressed--usually---serious behavior change suggests stress and illness. STRESS IS A SIGN OF ILLNESS. Good luck! |
