Does anyone else sell feeder insects?

I’ve got an AWESOME sized colony of crickets going. I’m going to start advertising in my local paper for the crickets and wax worms and perhaps silkworms after I’ve done more research to find the cheapest available Mulberry (I myself feel I’m paying too much for it).

The only place around here for about 30 miles to buy crickets sells them at an incredible 1.59 per dozen and 75 cents extra for the dusting. (I guess you can have those prices when you are the only one in town).

I only have 4 Anoles, 1 Green Tree Free, 2 White’s Tree Frogs and 2 Chinese Water Dragons to supply crickets for....and my crickets are simply producing MUCH MUCH more than I need. I figure at 75 cents locally for a dozen including food (hey, no one else does that...and it’s still half the price) I’ll make just enough to let the Herps start paying for themselves.

I just closed down an online bookstore so I kind of have the internet business itch still in me...who knows....maybe I’ll expand to the net in the future??

If anyone else sells feeder insects, or has done so in the past, I would love some tips. Even where to buy the cheapest/largest quantity of bags. :p

Thanks,

~Danielle
