 Odd behavior, mabe saw reflection?

ok, twice today, i came in, and my male green anole had DARK black spots beind his eyes, and the crest thing on the back of his neck was up, but then after i was in the room a while, he was fine. ALSO, both times, he was bright green. I thought maybe he saw his reflection, tried to intimidate it, and got freaked it out when it intimidated him back... your thoughts?
