Wow a blue anole. I haven’t seen one of those in a long time. My advice to you is to take your anole to the vet ASAP! I’ve had something like this happen to one of my anoles and I was silly and thought that I could deal with it on my own and it cost me my anole’s life.

Try a few waxworms to plump him up a little bit. What do you feed it?

If he has crusted fecies around his vent area, make sure you wash him off every other day. If there is an infection--it will reineffect him if you leave it on him. Wax worms make an anole look fat but looking fat and being healthy is completely different. Waxworms are not nutritional--their anole candy!
Make sure you are feeding your crickets---because whatever goes into the crickets directly goes to your anole!! Feed crickets orange slices-

For your anole, you must get him some elecrolytes--its a suppliment you add to his water, which really helps sick and dehydrated lizards to quickly recover-~*~THIS IS ESSENTIAL~*~ it should only be $6 or less. If your parents won’t
get it for you leave you address and I can send you some free of any charge!
I would love to help a fellow anole lover. Ive been in many despirate situations before and I know how hard it is to find help. Let me be of service. Its a kindness done, no charge....just leave your address info.

Also make sure you are dusting your crickets with a calcium suppliment, this gives direct nutrition.

what is your environment like? and how often do you clean it?
Can you post a photo of your anole and environment.
Does he eat well? do you have proper humidity.
Does he drink? If there are any significant folds of skin, or the eyes are sunken, the lizard is dehydrated. If 24 hours of higher than normal humidity does not resolve it, the anole should be taken to a vet to be assessed for other methods of fluid administration.
He could very well have samonella, but i can not be certain.

go to this web site it will answer ALL of your questions:

Nikke!

Youa re so nice. I feel the same way. Is there anyway you could get him to a vet and maybe the vet you could let you make payments??

I wish I could help. Where do you live? ( state?)

Gut loading means you feed your crickets before you feed them to your lizard so that the crickets are all full of good nutrients. crickets should be offered fruits and vegies to eat for 12-24 hours BEFORE you feed them to your anole. Potatoes, orange slices, grated vegies like squash or carrots, It is a little different for each kind of lizard thats getting the crickets so someone with alot of anoles could give you a better idea than me. (for an example my tegu’s crickets get dry cat food, vegies and high vitamin C fruits like oranges but thats because he needs the extra Vit C and protien) Anyone know what to gutload anole crickets with? There are also comercial all purpose cricket foods you can buy, they arn’t great but they are better than nothing.

I am so happy for you that your little guy made it. Anoles can get sick quickly,
but once they’re out of the "danger zone" they recover very nicely!
PRAISE THE LORD! I rejoice with you!

Sincerely yours
Nikke
