Any info. on anoles?
Hey I’m not sure if people have read my other post i put out on how to know when an anoles preg, when the eggs will hatch and what not.. but Im new at this so i really dont know what to do. I got a 20 gallon tank, 2 anoles, some kinda bark stuff for the bottom, a water and food dish in one, a lil house thing, a branch for it to climb on that goes all different ways, a green hamic type thing for them to bask or whatever on, and rock and piece of wood. Now how come my anoles wont eat out of the dish? I feed them mealworms, and the other day I gave them crickets.. but they didnt eat all of them. I think some of them might have died. But for some reason they wont eat from the dish so this morning i put some meal worms on the piece of wood to see if they’d eat them and they did, but then i tried to see if they’d eat the from the dish but they wouldn’t. How can I get them to eat from it? I dont want them to not eat and die but i want them to use the dish. Please help! I really dont know much about them so if someone would please send me as much info on them as you can that’d be so great! Thanks for any of ur help!

Any info. on anoles? if they wont eat from a dish, i dont think it’s possible to make them.. also, thy don’t USUAlLY drink from dishes either, so as long as you mist their cage, then you can remove the water dish to save some space

Any info. on anoles?
I would use the Vibrating food dish. It shakes the dead or frozen food and makes it look live.

Any info. on anoles? It may not be natural but it keeps the tank cleaner and keeps the meal worms or silkworms from burrowing into the substrate. Any vitamin or calcium powder that is left on damp soil will cause a small batch of mold to grow. Unless you do constant maintenance the tank could become very toxic. Think about it, where else do you think anoles poop besides on the floor? Feeding them in the tank doesn’t keep them pooping on the floor abut it does keep them from accidentally getting anything in their mouths that could impact them or make them sick.

Any info. on anoles? do not put your females in with a male until you want them to breed he’ll start bobbing his head or go straight to her and grab her behind the neck and start mating its not exactly easy of the female cause he forces her and don’t worry about photoperiods cause the male doesn’t care what year it is as long as its warm and she’ll lay 1 to 2 eggs and they’ll hatch in 35 to 40 days but keep them in moist soil at 84 to 86 degrees

Any info. on anoles? I have done my own testing and evaluaton on those vibrating dishes and reptiles are more scared of it than anything....bearded dragons wont even go near it--they cower in a corner until its taken away It really is a waste of money and space. mealworms aren’t good for anoles because of their exoskeliton. Anoles CANNOT digest it---then it creates impactions (build-up) and constipates them. Impaction in reptiles is very serious.... also if the mealworms head isnt properly crushed when eaten it will stay alive inside the anoles stomache and eat through their ribcage until it hits daylight and then dies. I know this sounds like a ghost story but its true...and will most definately kill your anoles. Instead feed them soft bodied worms such as: wax worms, butter worms and small silk worms. this is the best for them. hope I have been a help to you. Sincerely yours Nikke
