Lights for anoles
I was wondering.. what wattage bulb do I need for my anoles? They are in a 20 gallon tall tank. Right now I have a 50 watt light (the kind made for reptiles) in there at one end. and in the middle of the tank the thermometer reads.... about 80 degrees right now. My anoles are brown. They never turn green unless it is at night time and they are sleeping or if I take them out of the big tank and put them in one of those tiny critter keepers until I can clean the big tank.. when they are in the critter keeper they turn just as green as can be. What am i doing wrong?????

Lights for anoles The temperature is perfectly fine, but do you know the sexes of the anoles? It could be caused by stress due to territory issues. And then how many anoles do you have in the tank? It’s usually one anole to every ten gallons.

Lights for anoles No, I do not know the sexes of the Anoles. I have never seen a throat flap on either one of them. No display of aggression at all. They are in a 20 gallon tank and there are only 2 in the tank.
