anoles thermo regulate. You may not have the temp high enough for it.
Sometimes they turn darker to absorb more heat.

both my anoles are usaully brown to. I only hane 1 60 watt bulb in a 20 gallon tank.

try a higher wattage basking lamp and keep the temp around 90 degrees on one end of the terrarium and slightly cooler (75-80) at the other.
