Yes, this is true. my two that died after 3 years of age,seemed to like meal worms, more then crikets,they bite so watch it!

i hav 5 anoles and every 2 days i put 2 dozen crickets in the tank!....and they do bite!...but its fine to just dump crickets in...that wat i do....would someone tell me, Does their anoles eat large crickets or small crickets because even though my anoles r big, they’ll only eat a lot of small crickets?!

I usually feed my anole small crikets but I have given him some of the smaller "large" crickets - they were a little bigger than his head. He eats them (and it’s fun to watch him hunt them) but you have to be very careful that he doesn’t choke. When they eat large crickets like that it’s kind of like a snake eating something big - they take it down in gulps. A fun treat you can feed your anole is a moth. They’re pretty easy to find and catch - just stick it in his cage and watch him go nuts trying to catch it!

My 2 anoles live in their own little ecosystem. They have mealworm beetls (they can’t eat), mealworms, & crickets that lay eggs &last a long time. I hav had my anoles for 4 healthy years

yea i know wat ur sayin but i dont think anole can choke b/c wen i feed mine waxworms as a treat....they waxworm takes up the whole throat while eating and they can still breathe...i htink like most reptiles they hav a johnstonson’s organ which is a tube on the top or bottom jaw that helps them breathe in these situations
