1 male and 1female To clarify another post above. Males will not just kill each other. If you are going to have multiple males in your cage they need to be introduced at the same time. If not then they may fight and one could possibly die, not always the case. The ideal male/female ratio is 1 male to every 2-3 females. I have 2 males and 6 females in a 55 gal. tank and the never fight. The main thing to remember is: 1. If having multiple males introduce them into the tank at the same time. 2. Try to have more females than males. 3. Have plenty of space for them to separate from each other. This also lessens the chance of fighting.

1 male and 1female FINALLY!!!!!...ironcurtain!...thank god, atleast somebody else realized that males introduced to each other at the same time into the same tank when their young will be FINE!i hav 2 males and 3 females.i started out w/ 2 males and 1 female and then i wanted to give my males some more "fun" so i introduced 2 young females and the only thing that happened was for the first day ONLY my original female got a tiny bit territorial.but after the second day up til now they live in harmony!so Ironcurtain, i would just like to thank you for finally realizing that it IS okay to house males together.i’ve noticed they sort of develope a pecking order.my alpha male altho he is the tamest when it comes to holding him,he prtects his "colony" of 3 females and another male.for example, wen i tried to introduce an emarald swift every other one ran away but this one male stood and fought.but i quickly got rid of the swift b/c of the high stress level he was causing.but anyways...thats it!

1 male and 1female well, a 55 is certainly big enough for multiple males, but you cannot have 2 males in anything smaller than... i’d say a thirty.... because theuy won’t fight, rather one becomes dominant, and that male will get the best perches, basking spots, climbing branches, plants, he will have all the best territory in the tank, the other one will stress, sicken, and die

1 male and 1female It is possible to house multiple males in a small tank. I would not suggest putting any more than 2 anoles, weather male or female, in a tank smaller than 10 gal. Lets clear something up real quick. Anoles, like birds, have a hierarchy. Yes the dominant one will get the best basking spot and the best perch, but the others will not simply fall over and die. This is exactlly how it is in the wild. The dominant one is not there to take all the food and make sure he is the only one to survive, rather he is there to watch and protect the colony from predators and other dangers.

1 male and 1female Just on a side note. Anoles are one of the easiest and simplest reptiles to keep and maintain. There are only a few key things that you need to remember with them and you will be fine. 1. Keep temp and humidity at correct levels. 2. keep them with plenty of food and water. 3. make sure they have plenty of spots to bask, climb, and hide in,on,or around. If you are not sure that anoles are for you then dont get them. I am not trying to sound arrogant or like an expert but i can say that before i got my anoles i did alot of research on them to make sure that i could give them the best care and make it as close as possible to thier natural surroundings. Also, a point that you cant ignore....... ANOLES WILL DIE. Weather from mistreatment, poor care practices, strees, or old age even. People say that they are hard to keep as pets, but they arent. When one dies you need to find out why it died and fix the problem.
