AN EGG POSSIBLY SOMONE HELP!
Right now i only have one anole a female (I am 99% sure anyway) and i have only had her for about a little under two months. The pet store i got her from had several males and females in the same cage. anyway last night i was about to feed her when somthing caught my eye. at first i thought it was a worm. but then as i moved closer i knew it was not. it was oval like shaped and was an off white color. But the strangest thing was it was on a lare rock in my tank. But it was very late at night and nothing i could do so i went to sleep. when i woke up this morning i looked and it was gone. now i dont know wat to think was it an egg? did she move it after i left the room? idk somone help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AN EGG POSSIBLY SOMONE HELP! Something in the cage may have eaten it.Crickets and other insects tend to eat just about anything when they’re hungry.Anoles don’t turn or move their egg. They just lay it and go.

AN EGG POSSIBLY SOMONE HELP! Crickets can’t eat an anole egg and not leave traces of it behind...so obviously that isn’t what happened. I mean the 60 crickets I hate in a separate tank from my anole can’t even eat a piece of lettuce in a day let alone an egg...

AN EGG POSSIBLY SOMONE HELP! Crickets can and will eat exposed Anole eggs. That is why they usually bury them.

AN EGG POSSIBLY SOMONE HELP! You will need an incubator, and you should move it but very carefully,to much shakiness can kill the embryo. If successful, the egg should hatch in about 35 to 40 days.

AN EGG POSSIBLY SOMONE HELP! If the Anole didn’t take the time to bury it, it is likely infertile. Usually a couple in the clutch are infertile.

AN EGG POSSIBLY SOMONE HELP!
I have green anoles and mine laid just one egg in water so i was reading on some other sites and this one also that you should move it gentaly so i put it in a water bottle lid with a little water in it. And simply placed it on my heat rock i hope that was the right thing to do!

AN EGG POSSIBLY SOMONE HELP! Bad idea...eggs can drown you know, just put it in an incubator or soil in the terriurum, mind you putting it in the soil is not the best idea, but either of those are better than the water one.

AN EGG POSSIBLY SOMONE HELP! You know, I’ve always wondered if other anoles mess with the eggs, because I’ve seen my lizards get gravid, yet I haven’t seen any eggs. I was thinking maybe the others ate them or something.

AN EGG POSSIBLY SOMONE HELP!
 HannahMontana,
What ever happened to your egg?
I just had 1 egg hatch Saturday and 3 waiting to hatch and I have found, that it is best to leave the eggs where the mother hatched them. My anole’s never bury their eggs. They just lay them and off they go. If you have other eggs hatch, just leave them alone and see what happens.
Good luck!!
