search everywhere for her, look in places that seem where an anole would hide

Mine usually crawl up on the walls but one time one escaped and I found her recently dead about a month or so later, on the floor hiding behind some old shoes.

What I did (and it is best to do this at night) is place a light source somewhere in your room while you are sleeping, and have the rest of the room completely dark. The anole could come out in the middle of the night seeking heat or warmth with no light to warm it up, so it is very possible she may come out to the light as anoles use light as a source for their heat and warmth and are naturally drawn to it.

Make sure to check every crevast, underneath furniture, behind curtains, on walls, behind objects on dressers, etc., underneath your bed and the dressers, in your closet and even in any clothes that the anole could grasp onto and climb on, on shelves or in shoes, just about ANY place you can think of. Make sure to check other parts of the house as well. If the anole got loose in other parts of the house, even after tearing apart your room to look for your anole it may be to no avail if she is in fact in another part of the house entirely. So look EVERYWHERE you can think of.

Once you have one room pretty much looked over THOROUGHLY and are assured she is not in there, place TOWELS underneath the cracks of doors so she can’t get BACK in there, and keep hunting her down in your house this way and placing towels underneath of doors once you excavate each room. This assures that she is not in there, or if she is and you just could not find her that she will not escape to even further places in the house.

Just my two cents worth. Hey, it may help you find your little girl.

I am glad to hear it Sataday!! I am so happy for you!! Get this: one of my little female anoles got loose, yet she SOMEHOW ended up BACK in her cage, while I was digging around the room for her after taking them ALL out to get the remaining crickets out of the cage (it is hard to get the crickets out without removing the anoles and plants. Well, she got away, and I even looked in the cage for her as I shook the plants to get the crickets out, but I KNEW I had taken her out of her cage. The following morning, however, there she was: back in her home. HOW I will never know, I guess!

Mealworms are not good. They will kill your anole, this is due to their hard , chitinous exoskeletons. It causes impaction.
