wait, I just realized that one is your injured female (correct?). lol but yea, that’s a ’beefy’ anole! It doesn’t look like the injury is hurting it’s eating habits one bit

i think that brown anoles must eat more than green anoles or be more agressive. Whenever I go to a petstore that has brown and green anoles in the same cage, the brown anoles always seem to appear to be more healthy than the green anoles. But your anole looks good by the way

I dunno if it’s just b/c my greenie was here first... but my green female is dominant over my brown female. even though the brown is bigger and more ’beefy’ looking. both are quite healthy with nice fat tails. the brown will NOT eat until the green has the first cricket.
they seem to be great buddies too (despite what i’ve heard ppl say about different species living together). They’re ALWAYS together in that huge tank of theirs. I have never seen them interact ’negatively’ since the first day I introduced my brown to the green. My green gave a dominant display and it was left at that ever since. I still keep a close eye on them and it’s been just about a month now... it’s so cute so see them be so friendly with each other. They even sleep next to each other at night.

yup she was a healthy looking fatso anole ....but sad to say she died the other morning..i got up to check on my reps like i ALWAYS do...and her eye had popped and she died...i wish i was awake and in my office when it happend...sad :( ..ok so now i have 2 browns and 1 green left all 3 happy to be in opposite corners of eachother in the tank

and for those who will wonder...YES I CLEANED the tank and everything after i took her body out .. she is actually in my freezer...i dont have the heart to put her in the garbage or flush her...so im gunna wait till it warms up a bit more and bury her .

They are Cuban Brown Anoles (Anolis Sagrei). They are mistakenly called "Bahaman/Bahamian anoles," but they are really Cuban Browns. There seems to be a lot of confusion as a result of this, where people think they are two different species (Cuban Browns and "Bahaman") when they are just different names for the same species of anole.

actually DragonTU84, Anolis Sagrei is native to Cuba, Bahamas, and several surrounding islands. There are 6 identified subspecies. Anolis sagrei sagrei lives as the most prevalent on Cuba while A. sagrei ordinatus lives on the Bahamas
