 Is it legal to keep as a pet an anolis occultus?
well i was walkin in the forest yesterday and i found an anole that resulted to be a anolis occultus which is very rare is actually so rare that it was not discovered till the early 1960 so takin advantage to the situation i took the rare litle guy home and im thinkin of keepin him but i doubt is legal. does anoyone knows? oh please pardon my Inglish.

Are you aware that they only live in Puerto Rico? If you happen to live there, then I suppose you could have found one. Just becuase it was dicovered only in the 60’s doesnt necessarily make it rare. It is rare compared to other lizards of Puerto Rico but only because it is relatively hard to locate one. If you happen to actually live in Puerto Rico and are considering to keep this lizard then I suggest that you follow the guidelines of care for a typical green anole with possible slight modifications.(They live primarily on twigs and branches of trees in puerto rico, so add plenty of plants/branches for it to climb on) If you live in the US then you caught a species that may look very similar
