 Skinny anole!!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!

Try feeding him wax worms to help him gradually gain weight.Only use wax worms when your anole is in this condition-skinny.Wax worms are high in fat and delicious in an anole diet.Your anole may reject any other food product once introduced to the wax worm so use this method occasionally.I hope he gets well

 Skinny anole!!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!

Only my boy will eat Wax worms, so it’s not a guaranteed that your anole will eat it, my boy got so fat on them. Fatness is determined by the thickness of their tail at the base. Hope your anole gaines weight.

 Skinny anole!!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!

Chances are she may die,she needs the nourishment from the food. I recall that you said you just recently got her,it may take a couple of days for her to get use to the environment you provided for her.

 Skinny anole!!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!

Lopo is right. If I recall correctly, you’ll want to feed each anole 3-4 crickets every other day. It’s best to gut-load the crickets, which is when you feed them things like Fluker’s Orange Cube food (available at several pet stores) or certain foods from your kitchen. Crickets by themselves aren’t that nutritious for your anoles. Then once a week you’ll want to dust them with a calcium dust (it’s a nutrient supplement powder, also available at pet stores). You do this by putting the about-to-be-fed crickets in a little baggy like a ziplock, putting in a little bit of the calcium dust, and then lightly shaking the bag to get the crickets coated.

If you are feeding them the proper diet and every other day, then waxworms, I’ve heard, can be another solution if your anole won’t eat. However, use sparingly--waxworms are a tasty treat to most, and if an anole gets addicted to it, it won’t want to eat anything else.

Anyone feel free to correct me if I’m wrong. I’m going off of what I’ve read, and what I practice.

Vary the diet. You can use a wide variety of feeders. I’ll bump a post for you.
