Question [Basking lamp] I know that i have sent things about my Anole not eating before but will not having a basking lamp affect it. I mean i have a heater that goes underneath, but it doesn’t give off much heat. I’m going to get a basking lamp today, but since i don’t have one right now is that why it won’t eat? I mean it keeps climbing onto the roof of its cage under the UVB lamp and won’t stay on the ground. I’m a newbie, but could that be why it won’t eat? Because it doesn’t like the ground because it’s to cold so it won’t go down there and eat its crickets????
Please send me your replies ASAP

Question [Basking lamp] basking (increasing their body temp) helps with digestion, so that could be the problem. After my anoles eat they always go to the highest points in the cage to ’veg out’.

Question [Basking lamp] by the way... I suggest you read the ENTIRE care sheet. You’ll find MANY of your questions answered there. I’ll bump it up once again so you can find it easily. Also, there are really no "short cuts" that you can take as far as that care sheet goes. Your anole(s) need everything discussed in there to thrive.
