 Feeding items...

Some places I have read that say YES a green anole can and will eat earthworms and they are a good staple....
other just as reliable sources say NO a green anole cant and wont eat earthworms....

I know they are a good staple for bearded dragons, water dragons and many other lizards...

But can I feed them as a staple to my anoles???? I feed crickets now... just curious.

And NO not wild caught out of the yard. I will go through a worm breeder farm locally.

I want to stop with the dang crix....

So let me know...

Can and will they eat them????

Are they a good staple???

I know they have good nutrients.... fairly good calcium, good protein, low fat.....

THANKS!!!!

they arent necessarily a good staple part of their diet but an appropriately sized earthworm will not be of any harm to an anole i believe. My anoles eat moths, crickets, grasshoppers, roly polies, waxworms, earthworms, and any other safe bug that I can find. Read Atrax’s Wild Caught Food post...ill bump it up to the top

Ick I never see earthworms that are a nice size to feed to even Yasu (my biggest lizard). Plus, that just seems...slimy XD.

I feed them to my water dragons all the time, they LOVE them, it is very messy see here is Diego finishing up:

Its funny I cut them up into tiny pieces and they get them down no prob. Then I leave them whole and they bite the end and fling them around in there mouths and guts go everywhere Such a mess, so I just cut them up....

But if its not advised to feed to anything else (which I dont really get) then I wont even risk it, I want the best for my little guys

Somewhere I read that some certain moths and roly-polies (pill bugs) are not so good. You must have good luck.
