do anoles hav to hav a baskin spot or are they alright without one?

They DO they ARE reptiles and they need light like uvb and uva lighting so they digest food right.

Tanks require two types of light:

The basking light would just be your typical incandescent light (like a bulb from a desk lamp). This emits heat, and typically a 40-60 watt would be fine, I believe.

For the normal light of the tank, you need a fluorescent bulb that is at least UVB (UVB helps the lizards digest calcium. People differ on whether or not UVA works, but it’s believed that it is good for a lizard’s state of mind). People typically just get UVB bulbs rather than UVA/UVB ones.
