The basking light would just be your typical incandescent light (like a bulb from a desk lamp). This emits heat, and typically a 40-60 watt would be fine, I believe. For the normal light of the tank, you need a fluorescent bulb that is at least UVB (UVB helps the lizards digest calcium. People differ on whether or not UVA works, but it’s believed that it is good for a lizard’s state of mind). People typically just get UVB bulbs rather than UVA/UVB ones. |
