the fact that you just said that makes me suggest not getting 6 for a 65 gallon. Yes, 6 could but no more than that. ALso, you would have to be 100% sure there is only one male, provide lots of plants and stuff for them to climb on and get ready for increased feeding prices with 6 mouths to feed.

ALOT but only use 1 male and the rest are females. If you put 2 males together, they will fight and 1 will die.

KomodoBoy, I cannot believe you just said that. 1 anole per 10 gallons is the humane measurement. If you want to be cruel to your anoles, sure, just fill that tank full of anoles ’til they can’t move and watch them die quickly. No, anoles need space to climb and move. If you fill it with too many anoles, you threaten stressing them out (and stressing them out for prolonged times can kill them). Please stick to the rule of thumb and keep it 1 anole per every 10 gallons. No more than 6 anoles for a 6.5 gallon tank.

Quoted from Atrax’s Anole FAQs (Link):

Quote:

A good rule of thumb it to use the following formula: 10 gallon units X 1 + 1= # of Anoles. Thus you can house two in a 10 gallon enclosure, three in a 20 gallon, etc. up to four Anoles. Above that number allow 10 gallons per Anole. Remember, these are minimums and larger enclosures are better by far. Since Anoles are arboreal, make sure that you use the “high” form of terrarium enclosures.
