Is she pregnant?

I caught the brown yesterday morning and quickly brought her inside and placed her with my male. I noticed that he automatically developed the dewlap and bobbed his head. She bobbed her head and all was fine. I’m curious to see if she’s pregnant or not.

Green anoles mate from March to May,so think you have a pregnant anole there.Congrats!

All I could find online is "Anoles are egg layers. Occasionally when they are on the glass near their lamp and the light is passing through them, you may see an egg near their vent a day or two before they lay it. They do not get pregnant in the same sense as a mammal does though." Not much help, though. Also read that she’d be a lot bigger than usual. I can’t see that she looks a lot bigger than usual, but what do I know?--I’ve never had a female anole yet.

dont think so...while it is possible that she was already gravid, she doesnt look that big

if you purchased her within the past few months she could have already been storing sperm. However, there will not be any offspring hybrids from the 2 different species

this is an easy to make incubator.

just get a tuperware container,thermometer,vermiculite or perlite(without miraclegro or any bad substance),water,and humidity gauge(hydrometer?).
you get the perlite or vermiculite damp with water until it is moist/damp but when you squeeze it NO water drips out.
after that put about an inch deep of the moist/damp vermiculite or perlite in the tuperware container.add the humidity gauge and thermometer.the humidity should be 80-100% and temperature 80-85 degrees F.
when you see the laid egg DO NOT flip it over or mess around with it.that can kill the egg.put a mark on the egg to know which side it was laid. then carefully,without moving the egg too much, put it mark-side up in the vermiculite/perlite. don’t bury it i the vermiculite/perlite, just put some around the sides of the egg.
make sure the humidity is always around 80-100% and the temperature is constantly at 80-85 degrees Farenheit, and then wait until the egg hatches.
