 Fork tail

I got a male anole (along with two females) yesterday. He is very healthy, but his tail splits off in two at the end. It doesn’t look like it’s ever broken off and regrown. Is this something to be concerned about or should I just be proud of finding such a rare characteristic in an anole?

ok... that normally happens when the tail doesn’t break off fully and it regenerates in both directions i think. I would be Happy to have him and consider myself lucky as i have only ever seen this once before in the wild. I wouldn’t really be concerned as i don’t think it will adversely affect the health of your anole. Ironically, i think that someone posted a message about this same topic awhile back. Good luck with your new pets.

Great! Then I don’t have to worry, and I will consider myself lucky. Thanks Coolguy.
