Sick Bahama Anole
I’m new to the reptile scene. I was recently given two Bahama anoles by a friend that was moving. Their habitat is set to the care sheets that I’ve read. About a week later they develop really dark spots on their bodies. I began to treat them with wound care that the vet recommended, but after applying it to the spots, the skin would sluff off and leave an open sore. The vet had no explanation as to why. The larger of the two had spots all over, the little one so far only has a spot at the end of its tail, and one on it’s leg.I talked to a lady at a pet store and she said that it sounded like they had a fungus. But I can’t find anything on the web. Two days ago the bigger one passed away, and I’m really worried about the little one. My daughter is really heart broken about losing one, I would hate to lose the other. If anyone knows what it could be or is, and how to treat it that would be really great!

Sick Bahama Anole I was going to take pics this morning, but when I went to pull her out she had already passed, my daughter was right next to me and insisted was bury her right away. It’s hard to say no when they cry. Here is my question to every one. Is there any website that list diseases? The spots started out as being just a dark spot that turned into what looked like a scab. It spreads fast, because she only had a small spot on her tail for a couple of days then turned into another on her leg. By this morning she had them all over. Does this sound familiar to anyone. Could it be an allergic reaction to something? I’ve pulled everything out of the tank, threw things away, and bleached the tank. My daughter wants to get another, but If it is something that I’m doing wrong I would hate for it to happen to another.
