 Escape

My green anole mario died a few weeks ago (RIP MARIO) he got stuck and wounded himself on some decor in his cage.

Ever since then his tank mate Luigi has been acting wierd. He is eating, he is green, basking, all healthy but hiding A LOT and today he escaped!!

I went to turn off my Leopard Gecko’s heat lights because its hot in the house and was getting too warm in the cages. And he was sitting next to the CHE on their cage!! Vibrant green and happy. We managed to get him back in his home and seal up where he escaped...

But it sure was funny trying to get him back in the cage. He hates people :D

Thats all... just sharing because im bored...

Lol, well I’m glad you found him.I’ve found a couple of my anoles in my iguana tank before because i didn’t realize that there was a hole just big enough for them to squeeze out of on the top of their cage.It was funny because my green anole, Soubi, was just sitting on top of Diamond’s(iguana) head and Diamond was just sitting there with his eyes closed. xD

For future reference, Yexalen, you know you’re not supposed to have two or more males in the same tank together, right?

Lol that would be funny, just be happy Iguanas are herbiverous... he still could have killed him but lucky he is ok

And thanks Twilight, but I know they aren’t to be housed together. I have a setup though that allows them both to have their own territory yet be in teh same area. I posted it here before but once again...

Oh and I always kept a close eye on them. Never once did I notice any territorial or dominant behavior. They were both always green, stayed away from eachother, both ate fine, never even throat flapped at eachother. Guess I was lucky. I actually have quite a bit of experience with reptiles, not saying that I know more then anybody else or that its ok to house two males together. But when I got them they were too young to determine gender and they always got along so I was prepared with an emergency setup just in case.

But thank you for your concern. (Not sarcastically either)

:D

Since those pictures I have added a lot more plants and items to hide in as well. Luigi made his territory in the bottom and Mario declared the top as his.
