 Question about anoles water etc

When I got my first anole from Mybabydragon co. they said i can only give them bottled water since they cant digest sulfur in tap water, and that when i wash the cage/spray bottle/water bowl that i cant use soap because the soap will stay no matter how much i scrub and will poison the anole

IS ANY OF THIS TRUE?

No. You should use distilled or filtered water to mist the enclosure but NOT for the reason that they gave. By using filtered or distilled water, you will avoid hard water spots on the glass that can be difficult to remove. Anoles drink water in the wild that is infinitely poorer in quality and with many more chemicals than is in tap water. Soap comes off of instruments and utensils with thorough rinsing.
