I’ve had a male anole for 5 years. I’m guessing it was one or two years old when I got it. I can’t tell you for sure what the upper limit is. I would guess about 10 years if it is extremely well cared for.

How long?
To get 10 years you would need a UVB light and don’t forget to change the bulb every 6 months. That’s at least a $500 investment just counting the bulbs. Overfeeding causes them to die prematuraly too but that’s true with almost every living creature. 5-7 years is the average.
