Problems with male anole
 I have a male anole that my grandmother got for me in south carolina I’ve had him for 3 monthes and was always brown until recently when I purchased a new light setup now he’s 1/2 and 1/2. Need info my uncle is a reptile vet of 2 years and he can’t explain it.

 I don’t know if I have the right equipment but he’s mostly green with brown spots along his back and legs.

Problems with male anole  Try to find a reptile vet (not just a vet) and call them and ask about it. They usually will suggest certain products! right now my anoles have some dots too!

Problems with male anole  The brown to light brown thing is normal. He is obviously a Brown anole. Greens go from green to brown, green when they are warm and happy, brown when they are upset/depressed or cold. Browns are always some sort of brown, greens change.-collin

 Uh no he’s a green anole he turns green at night and you can tell by their profile. Don’t mean to sound rude but I know my anoles I’ve had them for 3 years. Brown anoles can’t turn green.

 He is getting a little bit better I recently moved the light above his cage instead of on the side and he’s really hitting it off with my new female a blue-phased anole, her name is Juliette or Jules for short.

 My dad moved the light says he dosn’t wan’t it to leave marks on the wall but he’s still staying a light green.
