Tropical Terrarium Deal
Today I went to pick up my tropical terrarium $75. I used craiglist and it was used. I will tell you all that was included:
-12x30x18 tank 29 gallon
-screen lid
-hood
-full spectrum bulb
-uvb lamp
-uvb bulb
-full substrate needs
-6 live plants
-driftwood
-thermo hygrometer
-exo terra cricket feeder rock
-exo terra waterfall (large)
-calcium sand
-cricket calcium feed
-a nice wood cabinet
the owner used to keep some anoles in it until they died. I am going to plant it a bit more and make it beatiful. When I first saw it I thought it would include a lot less. I’ll include pics in a while. By the way I figured that I just saved a couple hundred dollars. I may eventually add some whites, d. aurati, or some anoles in a few months.

Tropical Terrarium Deal congratulations on your interest in making your anoles’ lives great. Just to add a few tips: calcium sand isnt really necessary for anoles and many consider it to be deadly if ingested by your anoles. Also, its generally not the best idea to mix species with anoles since the anoles normally don’t do too well. A whites treefrog needs a cage about the size of yours just for one, there wouldnt be any room for the anoles, also if they got in fights the frog could do some serious damge. Just putting my opinion out there. Otherwise though, looks like you have some good stuff and good luck with your anoles.

Tropical Terrarium Deal i was thinking about anoles OR WTFs in the long term. i’ve seen images of a whites eating an anole. i know about the dangers of impaction of calcium sand but I just decided to mention it. the waterfall now having been tested works great. i may also add a fogger (if I add a timer so it doesn’t overheat). i’ll probably add a fern and a bromeliad to help give it a somewhat more exotic look. i trimmed off the dead plants/leaves and gave it some water. other than that I have a ways to go.
