Help...anole is lethargic and won’t eat My son’s had his anole for 5 months. He is usually very active and eats 3 crickets/day. The past couple weeks he’s become very lethargic and will no longer eat crickets. We tried waxworms and small mealworms which he ate, but now is refusing those too. He hasn’t eaten anything for 4 days now. He’s in a 10 gallon tank, has a basking temp of about 85-95. We keep humidity at 40-60%. We also have a UVB light (coil). I’ve been reading that coil can cause blindness which is frustrating since that is what Petsmart told me to buy when I was putting his habitat together. Could this be causing the problem? Any ideas of what could be wrong. We clean his cage about every 4-6 weeks and pick up droppings in between. Please help as we’re afraid he may die. He’s still green, but definitely less vibrant in color and is a bit shriveled looking. Going to a vet is not an option at this point. thanks.

Help...anole is lethargic and won’t eat Do you powder crickets with calcium at least once a week? And I REALLY would suggest that you get a different bulb (I have a 13w basking bulb and a 60w or 65w daylight bulb and mine do just fine with them.) A few Qs: What substrate r u using? Do you or your son handle the anole?
Do you turn the light off at night? What is cricket size? Some of the best bulbs are (tube bulb) Reptisun 5.0. Be careful and a tip: Anoles are not handling lizards because it causes extreme stress.

Help...anole is lethargic and won’t eat He still has not eaten a thing (about 10 days) and hides in his leaves most/all day. We do not handle him at all. He sleeps off and on during the day. Changed to a tube UVB bulb. In the past he ate med/small crickets. Peat moss substrate. Don’t know how long they can live without eating. We have a couple crickets in there just in case as well as some waxworms.
