 What Gender?

Hey I bought a new Green anole from the petstore and was wondering what gender it was.
I asked one of the staff working at the petstore and he said that during this season, its hard to tell its gender.
Well, it is a small anole. It has no color in its flares, its nose is rounder and smaller than the other anoles in my other tanks, and it has those pink things that go along its spine. Its head is also smaller than my other anoles. It is also smaller than my other Male anoles. (Not sure about females)

So basically I was wondering if my anole was a female, or a small male.
(Pretty young)

Check between the vent and the tail. Males will have a pair of enlarged postanal scales. Mature males will have a hemipenile bulge at the base of the tail. If it has either or both, it is a male. Otherwise, it is a female. The secondary sex traits are present even in the egg.

Well, what are "enlarged postanal scales". And what does the bulge look like?
Is it at the start of the tail, the end, the top, or the bottom?

Oo... if the postannal scales are the scales at the eyes up, then the scales are smaller than my males.

I can’t make this much more simple. Between the vent and the base of the tail, you should see two enlarged scales - one on each side. The hemipenile bulge is at the base of the tail - it is semi circular. If either or both are present, you have a male. Otherwise, you have a female.
I’m still trying to make some sense out of your last post.

im sorry, im new at this and im trying to make the best of my anoles. Well im not exactly new, I know a thing or two from research and vets.
What if the anole looks like it is both male and female?
For ex:
An anole has a long snout, larger than a regular male anole.
The anole is Larger than the regular male anole,
The anole has a red large dulap.
The anole has no hemipenile bulges or enlarge scale.
The anole may can looks pregnant, or it can be fat.

Sorry for Not being able to understand again. =)

I know that you said you found out it is a female, but here is the picture of the undersie of the tail so you know just what you’re looking for:

^Oops, I forgot to mention: A is obviously the male, with the enlarged scales, and B is the female, without them.
