THEY MAY BE INEXPENSIVE but...THEIR ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS COST A TONE.

---make sure you have a GLASS tank(not plastic-it doesnt hold in heat)---with the proper lighting---including a normal house bulb for heat(basking light)--and a UVB floresent tube light.(called a Reptisun 5.0)no higher--no less.

and lots of leaves/furniture.

I would suggest only buying one rigt now---then another--if you feel like it needs a friend---but get 2 females--males will fight.--male-female will mate and then you’ll have to worry about eggs! lots of eggs.

Have you researched them at all---are you prepared to have crickets--they become your second pet...you need to feed them too.

I will wait for your response!

Sincerely yours
Nikke

OMG, and you say you’ve done a lot of research. Most reptiles have to ’bask’ in the sun so that they can thermoregulate. Which means that their body temperature is dependent on heat from a ’basking’ light. The main thing to consider is how many watts you really need to achieve the right temperature.

With crickets all you need to buy are crickets, Cricket Keepers, and Fluker’s Cricket Food. Other than that you might still need to consider some vitamin dust. Do you understand the concept of dusting crickets?

basking defined by the dictonary: To lie or expose yourself to enjoyable warmth, especially from the sun.

So basking--is soaking in the "suns rays"--or heat from a basking’heat’ light.
