and no---they are either male or female---
but if you are referring to ......if a male will try to mate with another male--
or female--female---*it has happened*--but its not really mating--
-just practicing---i guess.

I don’t know what you mean. I’ve never seen a male try to mate with a male or a female try to mate with a female if that’s what you mean. There are a few lizards out there that are ’asexual’ and can produce offspring without a mate. I think of their names off the top of my head but I know that there are a few gecko species.
