Need Help! New Anole Owner! Dear everyone, my anole is constantly jumping around grabbing crickets, but I have only seen it drink a few times, sometimes I can see it’s ribs, I have read the care sheets, and am constantly spraying the cage, I currently have him in this cage(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jogy3sOMS_M&context=C3b84382ADOEgsToPDskLJ3AMpQ6ZVvwBJU_xoZ_vH) I would not want him to be dehydrated or anything, and suggestions?

Need Help! New Anole Owner! I couldn’t find your video on you tube? As far as his color, Atrax indicated in his care sheet (or maybe it was a thread I read) that color isn’t a big concern as long as they are active and eating well (or at least that’s how it sounded to me). Could you post some pics? Have you got a hygrometer to measure the humidity in your enclosure? That may help ease your mind knowing the levels are correct. I think it is normal that anoles drink very little as most of their moisture comes from their food. Also, they prefer running water (like after you mist) rather than still water (like what would be in a dish). I am an amateur myself, hopefully someone will answer with some experience :)

Need Help! New Anole Owner! Well i’m an intermediate anole owner and my anole’s usually brown too. for color, brighten up his habitat. For the water, if he likes being handled, put droplets of water on your hand they love drinking it that way for some odd reason, that’s how I nursed mine back to health when I found him dehydrated in a petsmart.I hope it helps.

Need Help! New Anole Owner!
Anoles do not drink from bowls, they drink dew from leaves so get a bowl that looks like a leaf at a pet store or get some leaves and spray them. They are arboreal so make sure that they have places to climb. Sorry don’t have too much to offer but I hope I helped!
