Feeding question/concern Hello there, I owned a few anoles as a child and now that I’m out on my own I decided to purchase one because I enjoyed them. I have a green anole named George and he is living in a 10 gallon terrarium. I have a concern about feeding him. I have noticed that when feeding him crickets in his tank he sometimes gets chunks of the substrate in his mouth and swallows it. I am using a coconut husk substrate (link will be included), and am worried that swallowing this may affect his health. I now move him to a separate container for feeding, but he becomes very stressed when handled and would rather be able to feed him in his own enclosure to removed this stress factor. Any help would be appreciated.

Feeding question/concern go to a local pet store and ask for something to put mealworms in. or even a small contaniar to put then in that he can get into would work great.

Feeding question/concern The substrate you use is exactly the one I use. My anole will accidentally swallow some when she is eating in her cage, but she seems fine. I don’t know if it is just mine, but if George starts acting strangely, I would recommend that he go to the vet.
