Urgent!!
My anole is breathing very oddly. The only way I can describe it: it’s like a frog croaking with the neck coming in and out with each breath. What is this? Is it bad?! Please help. This has been going on 2-3 days. Humidity is around 20-30%. Hot zone is 90-100F. Please help!

Urgent!! Strangely enough, Anoles are NOT desert dwellers. The humidity is way too low - it should be about 50%. The basking spot should be about 90 degrees. From your description, it sounds like he might have a respiratory infection. Quarantine him, raise the humidity to about 70% and raise the overall tempersture to a minimum of 80 degrees - and read my care sheet.

Urgent!! Ok thank you do much! I’ve been doing that since I read the post and he seems to be doing a lot better. But in order to keep the humidity up I’ve had to mist a lot more than I usually do. I’m not sure why I’m having so many humidity problems lately >_<
