 Heart break?

Not to long ago i owned 2 anoles a male and a female. the male died and a couple days later my female laid an egg she guarded that egg with her life, so her egg did`ent hatch and eventully rotted so i had to take it out , after that my anole changed she would`ent eat and she was always brown. I was wondering if a lizard could die of lonelyness(she was not old!)???????

she could die of lonelyness because i used to have 2 anoles the male died she laid the egg and it hatched but a few day later the baby died she was the only one left in the tank so i got her another male she just simply kept hiding then i found her dead in her nest she laid the egg in she was also very young

yeah that is similar to what happend to mine , except her egg was a dud so after the male died all she did was lay by her egg but eventually we had to take it out , and i think thats what she died from
