| mi bahama anole is mean! he runs from me, gets lost in mi room, and trys to bight me!!!!!! omg! should i return him to petcos and get a smaller anole, and nicer? i just got him 2 days agoe............. |

| if i were u i wouldnt, that would be like rejecting ur own lizard. what u should do i hold it for about 5 minutes a day, eventually it will get used to u and be able to trust u. if this method doesnt work research online about anole dominance. because it could think that u are trying to be the dominant male an u need to show him a sign that makes him think that he is the dominant one, even though he isnt! |

All anoles are "mean" for one reason: Fear.
You SHOULD NOT pick up a anole with your fingers or chase it around the cage, because it will think its being hunted. It will try to bite you because its the only defence it has aganst the "evil giant hand".
A good idea is to talk to it gently everyday untill it trusts you enough to clicmb on your hand. Don’t let it out of its cage untill it trusts you. |
