I had some at one time

my frist anole was a green i got it for my birth day but his life was short lived. i had wondered if i could take him out side for a little bit and even called the pet stores and such to make sure it was ok they all said that was perfectly fine but atlast my little guy got to go to an early grave do to being over heated after that my mother went to the store and got me two more, well they gave us one bc it was missing a leg and they were going to get rid of him, well anyway they lived for about a year and a half and now i havent had the heart to get another one simply bc i dont want to lose another one |

Re: I had some at one time
| Well do you know if they are wild caught? They may have had parasites. You just have to watch the overheating, but get them some UV light, proper diet, vitamins, humidity, etc. I have rehabilitated some wild sick ones caught in our garage or house and then released them....they are all over my back yard and I feed them leftover crickets sometimes. However, I’ve never kept one as a pet for very long. They do very well on their own here in FL. |

Re: Re: Re: I had some at one time
No, that wouldn’t be any good to let them go in MI! I only let mine go because they were from outside my house in the first place...just needed a little TLC to help them recover. (well one died ) Yeah, once you get out of college, you will have time to set up your place with as many reptiles as you want. I waited that long until I got mine. I still choose to not have too many even though I’d like a lot of them. I want to take good care of the ones I have and be able to pay to take them to the vet when needed! |
