what are you feeding it? Are you giving it calcium powder on its crickets? Do you mist the cage several times a day.You really need a vet. PE |

| I give calcium on fruit flies, she doesn’t seem to like crickets lately and the last week I don’t think she is eating at all. |

Can you get a bigger, closer picture? Do you feed your anoles meal worms? Did this just develop? Do you know where this anole is from? Florida, cuba ext...? What kind of anole is it? Green? Brown? In concern to mealworms--if the anole has not properly crushed the head, the head will actually stay alive inside them and start to eat through their rib cage until it hits daylight--then will die along with the anole. The only thing you can do for an anole who is suffering from the above is to put them in the freezer. Because reptiles are cold blooded they do not feel the cold. They just gently fall into a sleep, and dont wake up. It is the most humane thing to do if you are absolutely sure he will die. I hope this is not the case!! Some exotic anoles actually grow fins on their back and tail. Some just have abnormalities. However if this is just recently developing into a bump take him to a vet. Best of luck friend! Sincerely yours NikkE |
