| I new too! But from the research I’ve done, I’ll try to help. They eat crickets, but only the ones that are smaller than your anoles head size. You can buy cricket food and special gelatin water to keep the crickets alive longer ( I use a brand called Fluker’s. I feed my anoles about 2 crickets every other day for each anole. I have a little water dish (made for reptiles) in my tank and I keep it filles, but most of them don’t use it, so you need to use a water bottle and spray the leaves and walls of the tank, and they will lick it off. You need to have a few different lights, this is what I have: 1. a strip light that goes the length of tank that has a reptile UVA & UVB spectrum, 2. one heat light for during the day, 3. light that is a heat bulb for at night(it is red so it doesn’t confuse their day cycle). You can use this stuff they call reptile carpet, or this other stuff that is like indoor/outdoor carpet for the bottom of the tank. I heard that they are supposed to have about 10 gallons worth of space for each anole. You need to mist the tank with a spray bottle also to keep the humidity up. You will need some of the fake logs, and either real or plastic plants. Also, I read that you should not use a heat rock because they will burn their bellies, but you can get a regular rock and clean it first. If you look at the message posted by me that says "New tank! pregnant anole..." you can see a picture of my tank set up. Hope this helps. | Yes, you can mix anoles with house gecko’s. They will live in perfect harmony. Mine do, and I have been doing this for years. |
