New tank! pregnant anole-Help!
okay, first, check out my new tank, I upgraded to a 30 gallon. For substrate I used reptile carpet on half, and that mossy looking stuff on the other half. I also added some brick pieces. They love to go through the holes!! Has anyone else tried rhis?? Now, please look at my picture, and tell me if this brown anole is pregnant. She is eating and drinking, but she just keeps getting bigger, and bigger. I look for eggs, but have found none. Is she pregnant, or is something else wrong?

New tank! pregnant anole-Help!
NICE TANK!!!!!....I LIKE URS SO MUCH THAT I’M GONNA CHANGE MINE SO IT LOOKS LIKE URS!!!!!!(u can look at mine at the post called somehtin like "MY NEW ANOLE TANK!" or soemthin like that.) bak to ur questions tho....umm is there lumps on her sides and wen u pick her up feel with ur tip of ur finger on her belly to see if u feel like "mini grapes"....then she will be holding one or two eggs!If she does lay eggs she will most likely burry them in the moss u have in there and in order for it to hatch u will hav to leave it in their and keep the moss moist w/ a basking light over it or take it out incubate it. also, do u hav a male too in the tank which would make the eggs fertile....cuz otherwise they’ll just be infertile eggs and wont hatch!....HOPE THIS HELPS! p.s.-check out the pic of my tank to tell me wat u htink before i change it! -thanks |
