At least 40 gallon unless you want to end up buying 2 or three tanks in the long run. It’s cheaper to start out big because if you didn’t already know knight anoles can get to be 20in. 50 gallons or larger would be better especially if you are breeding them.

I used to have a Cuban Night Anole, it was pretty cool. I thought I would enjoy it soo much but he was a Little stubborn. This is MY opinion....they are not the greatest lizard to have. Mine did not even like to be looked at. I felt he enjoyed acting like a cage decoration. But, they are cool to watch and fun to have....I guess.

Yeah, some lizards can be like that. Some won’t eat unless you leave the room. The good thing about brown and green anoles is that they usually don’t care if you are watching them. My favorite thing to do is to throw in a housefly. All of a sudden they all spring to life and perform amazing acrobatic feats to catch that fly.

My name is Kevin. I have a Cuban Knight Anole named Carlos. He is almost 20 inches long. I caught him in Florida in the wild back in September after Hurricane Frances. I have him in a 45 gallon tank (tall) with a UV light & a heat lamp. He used to be extremely nasty & mean, but now he allows me to handle him daily & he only hisses at me when he’s grumpy.
