| Anoles although inexpensive actually do take a bit of care. You need to have plenty of humidity, lots of UVB, crickets, make sure you do not have two males, they also can get a bit picky about food. good luck |

Buying an anole??
| They make great first pets. As one of my posts here says, I’ve had my anoles for about 4 years. My 50-60 gallon aquarium has about 20 anoles, then a mix of long tail lizards and house geckos. I have filtered top soil as a substrate and cyprus mulch on top of that. I planted live plants and vines, supplementing the enclosure with artificial vines and rocks. The enclosure is thick, humid and lush. I place crickets in there every few days, mist twice a day with hot water (it cools about 5 inches out of the nozzle) and use the proper lighting to keep it warm and provide the correct sunlight. They thrive there and have been for years. But, they’re like goldfish; you look at them, you shouldn’t try to pick them up. |
