To many anoles? IF you know for sure they are males, then you should not keep them together (territorial issues) they may end up killing eachother. Also the number of anoles per tank should be taken into consideration. ONE anole per TEN gallons what to follow. The more space the better, however. So 4 anoles should have at least 40 gallons. Also have a lot of real or fake plants and branches for them, they like have hiding places and need exercise. See "Sexing Anoles" if you haven’t already. I will bump it to the top for you.

To many anoles? If you cowd Anoles into insufficient space, males will not generally fight since they can’t establish a territory. However, you also won’t see natural behavior.

To many anoles? I have a really hard time believing the 10 gallons per anole Because yiu can fit 2 almost three in a ten gallon so in a 20 gallon you could fit 3-4 and in a 29 gallon (thats what I have ) you could fit like 4 or five If you have the anole book by fillepe di voiski ( I dont know how to spell his name I guess hees italian) one picture in it hass three anoles and there all green and happy in a ten gallon TSP

To many anoles? If you want to create abnormal conditions, go ahead and crowd a bunch in a 10 gallon. The "10 gallon per Anole rule" produces a better environment and the Anoles will live longer,

To many anoles? And if you have done further reading, just because they are green DOESN’T necessarily mean they are happy. A lot of misconception is that brown anoles are unhealthy and stressed out. Read "Anole Color" for more information.

To many anoles? My anole swaps colors, when he is on the vines baskin he is brown when he is on the rockwall or in the hanging plants he turns green. He is very healthy and active, his tail is growing back too.
