 Need a little help

I just got 2 anoles and i know all the basic stuff i just want to know what it means when they turn brown, how to tell if they are male or female, and how to get them to like you. I’ve heard too many different things about the color changing part and I’m not sure if they are true but I don’t really need to know that but I’d like to. I’m only 12 so I only really know what their tank needs and what they need. I’d really appereciate it if you could help me out a little.

Mostly you can tell if they are male or female if the head is bigger it is a male. Also they turn brown when they want to get warm or if they are stressed out. To tell if they are stressed out look by its eyes if there is a blue ring it is happy if there is black dots it is stressed out.. It might be stressed out because it doesnt like its habitat or not liking its cage partner.
