Is this recomended as a substrate? Will this harm an anole?

For anoles, it is not recommended because the pieces of moss might get caught in their insides and constrict them. It helps enhance the look of the tank, but it shouldnt be used with anoles.

Sphagnum moss is like a piece o string. If ingested, it will form an indigestible lump in the Anole’s digestive tract and subsequent bits will just add to the problem until the Anole dies from intestinal impaction.
