 Burrowing Anole???

I found my Green Anole burrowed into the substrate last night, im just wondering if this is somewhat normal behavior. I think she might of mated recently but im not sure. So any help would be appreciated. She seems healthy other than the fact that she was burrowed in.

That is not normal behavior. Check your temperatures to make sure that it isn’t too cold in the enclosure. While Anoles don’t hibernate, they will seek shelter from the cold.

 Burrowing Anole???

my 2 female anoles just laid eggs, i guess thats why she was dug in. I dont have an incubator and i was wondering if there is any chance of survival for these first couple of eggs if i leave them in the terrarium. Any Help would be appreciated. I am getting a homebrew incubator set up but its gonna take a couple of days.

They should be fine. Often the first indication that an Anole has mated is some hatchlings running around the parents’ enclosure.
When you move the eggs, be careful NOT to turn them from the original orientation. They will hatch in 35-40 days when incubated at 85 degrees. The best medium to use is Vermiculite (at most any garden center) since it is sterile and holds moisture well. The usual ratio is 14 parts water to one part Vermiculite. Keep the humidity up to prevent desiccation.
