 Anole Behavior?

Yea I just saw my Anole close its eyes and spread his red chin thing out like
2 -4 times on the Basking Spot. What he or she trying to do?

Display of the dewlap is a territorial display. Are there any other anoles in the tank, or any other anoles that they could see? It’s basically staking that area as being owned by that anole. If there isn’t another basking spot and there are other anoles in the tank, there could be some minor issues. As long as there aren’t two male anoles in the tank (which I would assume not as that’s not a good idea) then it’s just normal behavior.
